Line Dancing has enhanced my Life in so many ways since I started dancing 10 years ago. Providing exercise, mental stimulation, meeting new people and building friendships. Discovering that there is so much more to music than just the singer & musicians… it tells a story – gives meaning to so many aspects of our daily lives.
Sharing my Line Dance experience with my students and competition dancers is so amazing – to see them ‘blossom’ and have Fun – makes me a Happy Person.
Leon Nel teaches line dancing at the Roosevelt Park Recreation Centre, Blairgowrie Recreation Centre, and Featherbrooke Hills Retirement Village – all ages welcome! No partner or experience is required.
Line dancing is dance steps choreographed to the beat of popular songs – it includes a variety of dance moves such as waltz, rumba, tango, and swing. It is a fun way to keep fit and trim as well as stimulating the mind.
Our Group Classes are a lot of fun and informative, learning new dances, revising older ones, and dancing to music that we enjoy. Nobody sees if you make a mistake – they are too busy concentrating on their own movements!
On the serious side – Line Dance Competitions – we learn specific dances, perfect the movements, and execute the steps for the judges – local and international – we get to dress up, add some bling and then the judges grade our dancing skills.
Let’s have some Fun on the Dance Floor – bring your two left feet – we’ll fix that!
