Dance Instructor - Leon Nel
Line dancing is dance steps choreographed to the beat of popular songs – it includes a variety of dance moves such as funk, waltz, rumba, tango and swing. It is a fun way to keep fit (trim) and stimulates the mind.
Leon Nel teaches line dancing at the Roosevelt Park Bowling Club, Blairgowrie Recreation Centre, Wilgeheuwel Retirement Village and Douglasdale Retirement Village for beginners – all ages welcome! No partner or experience is required.
Leon Nel shone at the South African masters line dance competition.Rainbow Line Dance owner Leon Nel competed in the intermediate section, danced the East Coast swing, waltz and Charleston for which he won a gold medal. He also competed with Ms Cherie Bailey in the senior duo event dancing to the song of Andy Williams – Can't take my eyes off you – for which they won a silver medal out of 10 couples competing. The dance was choreographed by Leon.
